15 years ago this past summer Courtney brought home from her summer job a little ball of fur we named Zoe. We all raised her with an eyedropper but she loved to snuggle up against my neck. That neck snuggling did not end at the end of her kittenhood as you can see. She was always my baby and I was her mama. When she was scared I had to put her on my shoulder and walk her around like a baby. She always laid on my lap and only purred for me. Eventually this past year she purred for Sheri but only when I wasnt home. I think she did it once for Courtney while she was doing cat duty on one of Sheri and Is vacations. When Ruth Ellen passed away and I was all alone she would leave my side when I went to bed a habit she continued for along time. Unfortunately Zoe who has been ill for a few months passed away today. She had a large tumor and we had to put her to sleep. I held her one last time and see purred for me quietly before she closed her eyes. So long old friend and tell Misty(our old mother cat who lived to be 21) we are still upset that she went off into the woods rather then passing away in our midst.
