16/3/14 Hollingworth Juniors Under 7S First game Hollingworth started well. High pressure led to a teasing cross form Jaz and pressure by caiden who was just about to pull the trigger when a Mosley defender slid in to unfortunately concede an own goal . Great performance from man of the match Joe in goal who didnt have a lot to do but pulled off two cracking saves to keep a clean sheet . Hollingworth pressed even more in the second half with Jaz , Caiden and Fifi all going close to finding a second . The break through came with a great tackle in the middle from Lewis and a storming shot from Jaz which hit the post . The rebounding ball fell to centre half Collum whos sweet right foot smashed it Into the top corner for Hollingsworth’s second . Second game was a close affair. A tense and entertaining first half . Owen gave a commanding performance at the back and Noah , jack and Oscar gave impressive performances in the middle of the park . Oscar was unlucky with a mazy run not to score . With Mosley scoring a scorching twenty yard drive Hollingworth bombed forward . Ewan picked the ball up at the half way line and dribbled passed three players before dragging it back and smashing in to the bottom corner . A wonderful goal . Great team performance with man of the Match going to Caiden in the first game and Joe in the second with the parents man of the match over both games going to Ewan . Was difficult choosing man of the matches this week as everyone played really well . Well done to all !!
