16 Capiz cops get commendation By Jemin B. Guillermo ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Sept. 30 (PIA6) – A total of 16 policemen from the Roxas City Police Station were conferred Medalya ng Papuri or commendation medal by the Western Visayas Police Regional Office. Roxas City PNP Information Officer Ramil Arcangeles disclosed that the said PNP Commendation Medal were conferred to PCInsp Rizalde Besana, SPO3 Avelino Villareal, SPO2 Ronald Dumala, PO3 Rodel Ibanez, PO2 Flores Segundo John Onio, PO2 Reynan Aguirre, PO2 Alnie De Leon, PO1 Mark Anthony Barrera, PInsp Karena Onio, SPO1 Cornelio Acielo, PO3 Antonio Buenvenida, PO3 Dan De Asis, PO2 Glynn Tuazon, PO2 Edilberto Berjamin and PO1 Ana Loren Silvestre. The cops were recognized for their invaluable service to the Police Regional Office 6 for the arrest of a suspect in a robbery incident in Roxas City that resulted to the recovery of assorted jewelries, cellular phone and cash money, Arcangeles said, citing the PNP6 General Orders No. 493. He said that in another PNP6 issuance, particularly General Orders No. 515 dated September 17,2013, Besana, Buenvenida, Ibañez, Tuazon, De Leon, Berjamin and SPO4 Antonio Besana were also conferred another PNP Commendation Medal in recognition of their invaluable services for the conduct of buy-bust operation that resulted to the arrest of a notorious street drug pusher operating in the city here. In said orders, the top PNP office acknowledged the noteworthy achievement of the Roxas City cops that have earned credit and honor not only for themselves but for the entire police organization. Arcangeles said that the awarding ceremony was done at the PNP Regional Office in Iloilo City last September 23. On the other hand, the Capiz Police Provincial Office headed by Police Director Victor Wanchakan recognized Roxas City PNP Chief Julio Gustilo Jr., SPO3 Rex Besa, SPO1 Rosario Olaveja, PO2 Reynan Aquirre and PO2 Florea Segundo John Onio for their professionalism, dedication and exemplary performance for the successful arrest of a suspect in a crime of rape in relation to Republic Act 7610. Wanchakan cited the Roxas City police’s excellent performance as a manifestation of the cops dedication and loyalty to the mandate as police officers as he highly praised them for a job well done, worthy of emulations. He also said that the commendation to the said police officers will serve as an inspiration to strive more in accomplishing the mission of the police.
