17 years ago today on May 3rd, 1997 I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Management and Accounting from Concordia University at Irvine! Im very proud of my degree since I never quit and never gave up inspite of being diagnosed with a learning disability, I persevered and got my degree! Unlike the typical Indian, I never got straight As ever, Ive always been an average student, mostly Bs and some Cs, BUT I worked very hard and applied myself to understand subjects through elementary, middle, high school and college! I apply this NEVER SAY DIE attitude to everything in my life, God and my parents have instilled this value in me but it is also my will to succeed the best I can in any situation, my faith, determination and NEVER accepting defeat keeps me going! I still look at my degree and smile since I know what it took to get it! I may not have that awesome high flying career I had hoped for but I will always have my degree to remind me that I can do anything I set my mind to and to NEVER give up! And the brick you see was a surprise from my parents on the day I graduated from my university, this brick with my name is laid out at my university in front of the new student union for future graduates to see! Im honored that I and all my fellow Concordia University Alumni can be an inspiration to all the future graduates for many years to come! My parents said that they would have bought many bricks with my name if they could since they said my will and determination makes them so proud, I still have that same will and determination today and will always have it!! Considering I come from a family of overachievers, not to mention that just in my immediate family there are 8 doctors, 4 engineers and a CPA, it is nice to know that my family is proud of me! Proud Concordia University Alumni!! Go Green and Gold!! Go Eagles!!! Class of 1997 Rulez!!!!! :) \m/\m/
