#173 – “Rain” by The Beatles It is quite surprising that, despite knowing The Beatles since childhood, I have only heard “Rain” the first time about a decade ago. I am not sure how large an umbrella I was under to have missed it up to that point, but I have. Even though it had a promotional video! It was the “B” side of the “Paperback Writer” single, released two months prior to “Revolver”. That album was quite amazing in its own right, even without these two songs included. This is hard to fathom. Can you imagine a single released with two great songs by an artist today, only to be left off an upcoming album full of classics? Difficult, I know, but just imagine.
