(17JUNE2013-02) SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN #3 Tropical Depression EMONG, issued at 11:00 AM. Tropical Depression "Emong" has maintained its strength while still over the East Philippine Sea. At 10pm today, the center of Tropical Depression "EMONG" was estimated at 280 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.8 deg N, 127.0 deg E) with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center. Forecast to move West Northwest at 11 kph. Tropical Depression Emong is expected to be at 230 km Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes by tomorrow morning. By Wednesday , it will be at 330 km East of Aparri, Cagayan and at 400 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes by Thursday morning. Estimated rainfall within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy). Tropical Depression "EMONG" is still far to directly affect any part of the country.
