French authorities are requesting all airlines to reduce their flight schedules during the strike period. As such, the following British Airways services are now being cancelled: 17MAR14: BA intends to operate a full schedule 18MAR14: BA304/307, BA324/329: London Heathrow - Charles De Gaulle - London Heathrow (LHR-CDG-LHR) BA332/333: London Heathrow - Orly- London Heathrow ( LHR-ORY-LHR) BA2622/2623: London Gatwick - Nice - London Gatwick ( LGW-NCE-LGW) BA348/349: London Heathrow - Nice -London Heathrow (LHR-NCE-LHR) BA486/487: London Heathrow - Barcelona - London Heathrow ( LHR-BCN-LHR) All other services currently operating as normal. 19MAR14: BA intends to operate a full schedule ------- 182 - ALL/NET - IB - Service Update For BOS And LAX Iberia will resume direct flights to Boston and Los Angeles beginning March 30, 2014 The direct route from Madrid-Los Angeles will operate three times a week and increase to four times a week in July and August. The Madrid-Los Angeles flights will operate from March 30, 2014 through October 24, 2014. Madrid-Boston will operate five times a week and increase to a daily flight in June and July. The Madrid-Boston flights will operate from March 30, 2014 through October 25, 2014. ------- 182 - ALL/NET - LO - Seat Selection Update As of 18MAR14 LOT passengers in Economy class will be able to select the seats of their choice (window, extra legroom, exit seats) at any time between reservation and travel ------- 182 - ALL/NET - SA - Fuel Surcharge Update Please be advise that there will be an increase in the amount that is charged for the fuel surcharge (YR tax) that will be effective for all tickets issued on/after March 20, 2014. On the North American routes there will be a $2.00 increase (each way) for both Business and Economy class passengers. There will be additional increases for some of the African regional, South African domestic as well as other international routes. SAA has consistently tried to keep the number of these increases to a minimum, however we find that at this time it is necessary to take this action. All reservations systems will be updated accordingly and collection of the YR tax will be according to system fare quotes at the time of ticket issuance.
