1840 – Steadfast In Christ Posted by Steve McCracken on 16 Jul 2013 03:00 am. Good morning people with a pure heart and a desire for God After David had repented and received God’s forgiveness, he asked God to change his heart and renew a steadfast spirit with in him. Psalm 51:10 (NIV) Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For me, this ‘pure heart’ is about seeing what God sees, feeling what God feels and thinking what God thinks. This is about having the mind of Christ at all times. This is about having a motivation that pleases God – a motivation which results in right living. I’m reminded about the word ‘grace’. Here’s one of its meanings which I think applies here: the divine influence on the heart and its reflection in the life. We need God flowing into our lives continually, every day. We also need to allow this fullness of God to overflow into every aspect of our life – public and private. As I think about the word ‘steadfast’ I think about being ‘consistent’. As Christians, the Christ in us should empower a consistent Christian lifestyle. I don’t want to be a yo-yo Christian; up and down, up and down. No, I want to be a consistent Christian, and I know that happens as I daily yield and submit to God and His Lordship in my life. Part of the key to this is recognizing and rejecting the lies of the enemy and being faith-filled in our acceptance of the truth of God’s Word. “Will you join me in asking God to help us walk steadfastly in Him?” Steve McCracken David McCracken Ministries Prophetic Ministry that Empowers the Church
