19 OUT OF THE 500 NURSES WHO WERE FIRED FOR GOING ON AN ILLEGAL STRIKE LAST YEAR HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF DEPRESSION. Zambia Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) secretary general Roy Mwaba revealed the development during Labor Day commemorations held at Kasama’s president’s park yesterday. Mr Mwaba has since issued a fresh plea to President Michael Sata to pardon the nurses and re-instate them in the shortest possible time. And Mr Mwaba has implored on government to review its decision to have two-year wage freeze for civil servants.
