19 #RFSQ brigades and volunteers were awarded for their long and diligent service at an awards ceremony in #Townsville yesterday. A/Deputy Commissioner, Emergency Service Volunteers Bryan Cifuentes and RFSQ Northern Regional Manager Ken Beasley presented 11 National Medals and 15 QFES Diligent and Ethical Service Medals to award recipients at the medals presentation. Bambaroo, Nome District, Purono, Rupertwood and Rollingstone Rural Fire Brigades were also presented with QFES Commissioner’s Unit Citations to recognise the dedicated support brigade members provided to affected communities across the North Coast Region, when deployed last year in response to Tropical Cyclone Oswald. Congratulations to all.
