19 years plus ago our family along with four other families planted a church. As we were laying foundational values at the very top of our list was Love is Non-Negotiable.....in other words no matter what Transpires, we would choose to love each other and those in our care. Here I am 19 years later, still in process of walking out this core value. At times Ive wanted to put up my hands and give up as I saw how imperfect I was at walking this out. Other times I wanted to quit, as it was simple too painful to love that deeply while being rejected or misunderstood. But..and here it is that Big But....Its a value that I believe in more now than 19 years ago. Ive witnessed healing in relationships, people discovering their true identity in Christ. I also experienced a depth in my relationships that have exceeded what I even hoped for. It has stretched my character but mostly my heart!! Thank you God for journey, detour and all!
