1929 ∼ 2013 Emma P. (Romiza) Thompson, 83, a lifelong resident of Falmouth, MA passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Falmouth Hospital after a brief illness. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Tommy” Thompson, Sr. who passed away in 2000. Emma was born and raised in Falmouth, the daughter of Joseph P. and Maria (Correira) Romiza. Emma was an enthusiastic bingo, card player and avid reader. She loved seafood, especially fried clams and lobster. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. Emma is survived by her daughter Robin M. Thompson of East Falmouth, two son Robert H. Thompson, Jr. of SC and Robert H. Thompson III of East Falmouth; sisters Irene Hutton of Falmouth and Alvida Willson of Buzzards Bay and her brothers Manny P. Romiza, Johnny Romiza, and Louis Romiza, all of Falmouth; grandchildren USCG LT CMDR Charlene R.T. Criss of CT, Dee O’Donnell of Falmouth, Earl Thompson of SC, Shawna N. Thompson and R.J. Thompson of Falmouth, Tori Toothman of VA, Philip Cabral and Rachel Cabral of Falmouth, Turrel Thompson of SC, and Karissa Thompson of Falmouth. Emma is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be Tuesday June 25, from 8:00 to 9:30 AM Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home at 475 Main Street, FALMOUTH CENTER. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony’s Church at 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth. Burial will follow at VA National Cemetery of Massachusetts in Bourne.
