1948 - Chicago drummer Daniel (“Danny”) Seraphine is born in the “Windy City” or is it the “Second City?” 1964 - Bob Dylan allegedly turns The Beatles on to marijuana. This is after The Beatles perform at New York`s Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. 1965 - Bob Dylan gets booed for "going electric" during a Forest Hills concert. Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones sign a five year recording contract with Decca Records and announce that Allen B. Klein will co-manage the group with Andrew Loog Oldham. Before he`s done, Klein ties up the Stones` finances and performs the same trick on The Beatles. 1967 - The Grateful Dead and Big Brother & the Holding Company play at a Hell`s Angel wake. The biker was struck by a car in S.F. 1968 - The Doors score a major hit with "Hello, I Love You." The Kinks` Ray Davies accuses The Doors of ripping off his "All Day And All The Night" but nothing comes of it. However, drummer John Densmore did rip off Cream`s (Ginger Baker) "Sunshine of Your Love" beat. With all that, how could it miss? 1972 - Procol Harum goes gold with "Live in Concert with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra." Also, David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars make their debut at NY`s Carnegie Hall. 1973 - Deep Purple`s "Smoke On The Water," a song about a Swiss casino burning down, goes gold. 1976 - Peter Frampton`s "Baby, I Love Your Way," from "Frampton Comes Alive" peaks at #12
