1978 I remember riding in my dads new Cadillac Seville on our way to Stockton CA from San Francisco…. It was pouring rain as we entered the city limits, but we didnt care because we had Joe Samples Rainbow Seeker burning up pops 8 track. Oh how pops loved Joe Sample….. it was my first introduction to the music I wanted to play… Pops is gone now, and Joe has left us as well. Pops is now showing Joe Sample the ropes in Heavens Jazz orchestra along with their latest band members Drummer Ricky Lawson and Keyboardist George Duke….
