1ST ELECTRO-TECHNICAL OFFICER - LUXURY CRUISE VESSEL Within the position of 1st ETO you are responsible for the day to day management of the 2nd ETO, 3rd ETO, Junior Officers, Cadets, Technicians and Fitters. You will also be responsible for identifying training needs and ensuring all staff are competent to undertake their specific duties. You will also be expected to deputise for the SETO in his/her absence. This role will enable you to work collaboratively with the wider Ship team and gain credible experience outside of your role. You will be expected to plan and monitor work schedules to ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations. In addition you will be responsible for programme preventative maintenance rotas to ensure all equipment maintained and accurate maintenance and equipment records are logged. Alongside the technical aspects of this role, you will also enjoy the opportunity to attend social events where you will be representing the Electro Technical Team. This will involve hosting dinners, participating in Captain’s Cocktail Parties and various other social occasions. To be considered you should hold a degree or HND in Electronic Communications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline. STCW Basic Training and Advanced Fire Fighting certificates would be desirable. All candidates will require a valid ENG1 medical certificate (or equivalent) for the duration of each voyage and are required to obtain a US C1/D visa. We will offer the right person an attractive remuneration package that includes an annualised salary paid in 12 monthly payments, rotations of 12 weeks on/6 weeks off or the option of 12 weeks on/12 weeks off after having successfully completed 12 month’s service with the company. After 6 months service, Officers will be eligible to receive our accompanied travel concessions for partners, spouses or family members to travel with you during your time at sea.
