1st announcement : NEW NAME. 9 moths ago, Grotto was like 10 down on my list of names. nothing i wanted came to allowance. Grotto seemed suiting for the garage, as it means Cave. so i went with it. Anyway…..we are losing our Grotto, and Grottonian tags loll. The new name reflects the good ol town of Airdrie for what it used to be. It was a Railway Station Village, only a rail station was here, and it was a stop between Calgary and Edmonton. then it grew in to a village then a town, now a city. So embracing a little bit of culture and town support. We can officially start calling ourselves RailTown Crossfit. I promise we will will have shirts for this name. Second great piece of info is: As of june 15th WE RailTown Crossfit will have MUCH more space to Workout in. Almost double the inside size 10x the Outside space. 4 minutes away from the current gym (ill supply more details at the gym). But we will have indoor AND outdoor workout stations. We will be making this summer THE summer to experience the hardest but most FUN crossfit you have EVER endured, and ever will ! Be prepared for June 15th. We will be moving Cynder blocks, we will be running hills, we will be doing pull ups IN doors and OUT doors .. We will have the ROOTS of crossfit at our fingertips !! Yours Truly RAILTOWN CROSSFIT !
