2 BIG Wesley Kids things happening this Sunday... (1) 3rd Grade Recognition Sunday. All third graders will be recognized and blessed in the services as they begin this new chapter in their faith journey and attend the Bible Skills class during the 9:15 Sunday school hour. At Sunday school the third graders will have the opportunity to learn how to use their new Bibles. They will learn how to look up chapter & verse, use the “helper sections” in their Bibles, memorize the order of books of the Bible via a fun song, play bible jeopardy and learn a selection of Bible verses by heart. In the spring, once the third graders have completed the class Wesley Church will present them with their own personal bible. (2) Confirmation will be a year long process that includes weekly Bible study and Sunday school classes, retreats, worship participation, worship planning, and mission opportunities. If your 6th Grader is interested in participating please attend the kick-off event this Sunday September 14. This is an opportunity for students and parents to meet and have snacks, fun, and fellowship. We will be handing out information packets and going over all of the requirements for completion. Kick-off event, this Sunday, 4:30 pm, in the Dining Hall.
