2 Corinthians 4:7-9 NIV But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Amen. It seems all to often we (myself included) dont look to this truth when we are in need of direction. We continue with these down and out mentalities. Feeling Alone? Broken? I hate to be cliché... But OUR GOD IS GREATER!!! My wife showed me a clip from The Passion today... Jesus had Satan whispering in his ear...the burden is to great In other words you cant do this they (meaning us) arent worth this We all no the end result. FREEDOM! from sin & death! Jesus didnt give up on us even when he had all: power and authority to do so!!! He bore every last inch of those nails through his wrists and feet and he did it... For us. So when you are feeling down and out... and think you are all alone and there is nowhere to turn... put things in perception. Be utterly grateful that bearing your own cross has nothing to do with three nails and a literal cross... why? Cause Jesus did that. It is finished! Brothers & Sisters our persecution is our cross... being light where there is seemingly nothing but darkness will make us stand out... But, the end result... is... ETERNAL
