2 Nu songs added to this Pool/Work in progress album and I am done - TopicsExpress

2 Nu songs added to this Pool/Work in progress album and I am done with it now and I think I can make these types of songs fast enough to make something bigger now. Spartan Living has a really cool 8 bar melody with guitars and weird synths, then changes keys because spartan living conditions are not comfy. Abadscent is just weird with cool sounds and I had a bunch of fun with a sample from Mushroom by Can off of Tago Mago and then something by Tonio K.. Ill say Im kind of humbly excited that Im the only person I know in real life that is making music that sounds like this. Working with sequences and messing with samples is like a quarterback throwing the ball and Jerry Rice catches it simultaneously and instantly. It feels good on my brain to have something that might not seem organized but its actually completely organized and everything sounds how I want it to and is placed exactly where I want it to fall. I really only know of a few other artists, who I think are making the most quality and true music around in the world, that make music like this, and even though I basically stole/learned this style from them, Im not ashamed because rock and roll or any other type of music is the same way, handed down ideas, except on a larger scale. So much of it has already been done, doesnt mean its bad though. Im not trying to copy, I just feel and believe like this is a new way for music to go.. it moves forward, more so I believe than traditional rock and roll or pop, hip hop, whatever.. and it is complete artistic control/ freedom. Samples dont have to hinder or diminish a songs ability to move forward, nor do sequences. You can make an agreement with the sample, and the way it moves forward on its own, but also disagree with it at the same time and change its direction/sound/speed/whatever. A sequence you make doesnt have to be repetitive.. it can, but you can also go out of the box and write sequences to a whole song. You dont have to stick with computer controlled quantization, you can place/move things exactly where you want them, make different parts have a slight offset between them, whatever. The recordings I have of these songs in their untouched form are still great, but its just really cool to see how different things can sound.
