2 Things... 1) Tomorrow, the U.S. House is voting for the next Speaker of the House. Lets get rid of John Boehner! Call the Congressional switchboard NOW at 202-224-3121, ask to speak with your House Representative, and tell your Representative, Please vote for Rep. Louise Gohmert tomorrow to be the new Speaker. We do not want Boehner anymore. If you vote for Boehner, we will not vote for you again. Thank you for your service. Have a good day! [Note: Gohmert is the Constitutional warrior We the People need! He has a 92% score with FreedomWorks and a 91% score with HeritageAction. He is a fighter! He is putting his neck on the line for this seat FOR US! If he loses, Boehner will make him pay and the establishment GOP will punish him, personally and politically. We need to stand up and help Louise TODAY!!! Lets not abandon him!] 2) The WilsonNCTeaParty will have our FIRST 2015 meeting on February 5 at Western Sizzlin near downtown Wilson at 6pm. The email below, from Michael Armstrong, will tell you a big part of what we will be discussing on February 5, along with some other items. Warmest Regards, Your WilsonNCTeaParty Website: WilsonNCTeaParty Facebook Page: facebook/WilsonNCTeaParty Twitter Page: https://twitter/WNCTP YouTube: youtube/user/WilsonNCTeaParty Email... Tea party and other proponents of limited governance, the 2014 elections are over and the GOP is busy counting their winnings. Now is the time to take stock and move into a more serious mode for 2016. If you are of the opinion that the GOP will transform itself into a conservative deliberative body and begin to solve the problems that both parties have contributed to these last 5-6 decades, we will slow down enough for you to get out at the next corner. T he rest of us have a lot to do and little time to get it done. ( I still have a few republican friends who believe that serving on a GOP committee is their highest ambition) Our drive to grow the number of unaffiliated voters in NC has gone from 17 -24% a good goal for 2016 is 40% there are four NC counties where unaffiliated make up the largest bloc of voters and we are in 2nd place in another forty-four counties. Its easy. Just suggest the change, pointing out a couple of advantages and offer to submit the form. This is becoming an easy sell for democrats and republicans alike. Our second step is to build those election-day voter lists, stay in touch with your list and deliver their votes during elections. This is where we usually lose many races that we could win. Simply put, we are out worked. Notice nothing is said about candidates! Anyone with a brain knows that the GOP will be stuck with their incumbents, good bad or indifferent. Remember FAIRCLOTHE, DOLE, ELLMERS, egal When an independent movement is powerful enough, suitable candidates will emerge. Its not how much money you can raise or how many glitzy tv ads you can squander but a sound grassroots educational campaign. Anyone remember Congressman Burt of RICHMOND? There are several state house and senate districts that have been sacrificed on the altar of gerrymandering. These districts offer a ripe opportunity for independent / unaffiliated candidates. Who knows? By 2016 having to choose between MCRORY and Cooper just may open up a few major spots as well. Get your group together and get started. Drop us a line if we can help.
