2 XI - 1 v 3 - Middleton & Bognor Its tough at the top! Good high tempo first half with good passing and movement all over pitch was exceptional which saw the 2s take the lead penalty flick created by John Tullett playing a ball through to Doug Bridges in the D. He beat keeper but not the defenders foot on the line. Penalty flick taken by Doug but to be fair rest of team were already running back to half way line....cowards! Scored it nice! Jez L played well in first half holding the ball well and the defence were stopping so much throughout the game. Conceded 2 goals on the break before half time but the saints were still in the game. The half time saw on the day captain Jamie Neill give an inspirational team talk. However saints conceded early short corner goal then M&B shut up shop. Saints pushed pushed but they didnt topple. M&B cut out the saints first half threat by pushing hard limiting us to few breaks. There was a little of the previous week where the twos played it too fast in only one direction and were forgetting simple passes and leg began to show with their two subs helping them a lot. Adam Foulger made some great saves in second half. Work rate very good as per usual but lost 3-1 but made them work hard everyone played well and could have easily drawn.
