2 years ago, I released the Ezekiel Suite The idea to make an album of songs that were consistent in quality came from listening to Demi Dastard even though I can never hope to be on that level. The idea for the actual songs on the album came from a combination of hanging out with Kevin and Rene at different times. Kevin once mentioned making albums for each of his ex girlfriends so I took that to heart even though I only had one. The inspiration from Rene was from one time that we were hanging out; I started playing a new song and he started singing some obscure honky tonk lyrics which led to me naming that song Ezekiel. After showing Kevin Ezekiel and another new song called 5 Years 1 Month and 2 days, he suggested making an Ezekiel Suite which I agreed to even though this isnt a Suite and I dont even really understand what a Suite is in musical terms. Kevin also suggested the release date of September 11. I recorded the first 5 songs pretty quickly and I started showing it to people, which I think ultimately slowed me down. It was the first week of September when everything finally aligned and I got Rene to sing on Ezekiel. This here album is where my heart and mind were in 2012, I love it like a child.
