2 years ago I went to the eye doctor and they told me I had to go to Mass, Eye, & Ear immediately because there was fluid building in my brain. I remember being laid out on that bed as they put that long needle in my back for a spinal tap and the nurses held and pulled my legs straight every few minutes to ensure I was not paralyzed. It was a very painful, and an emotional experience. Fast forward this is my 2nd year of being told I have better than 20/20 vision and my focusing power in my eyes are extraordinary. Thus, I cant help but think back in college when I was in ROTC and went through the process of going into the Air Force. However, my eye exam came back not good and I was told Id never be able to fly. Fast forward to me moving to VA just so I could live by the Pentagon and every day I see these jets & planes pass my window. I know I am older now, but now that I have 20/20 I cant help be think about it again; but it goes to show there can be a positive, unexpected ending to something we didnt see coming! Yes, there is still fluid, but as they monitor I am too busy thanking God for the 20/20 and I will #focus on enjoying the right now!
