2 years ago my life changed forever. I thought Id ring in the new year with my friends Heidi , Jay and Donna . I made my way over to Heidis and downtown to the polar bear swim. Tired from the night before, I was not going to go in. So I offered to stand by the stuff. A boy asked me to hold his hat while he went in. I said yes. Then I lost it. Dont ask me how... I stood there embarrassed. I felt awful. He laughed and said it was ok. It was just his lucky hat. I went home, saw him at a meeting and a week later we started dating. You know the story... Little did I know 2 years ago today I would be married to this man. 2 months after that day, I would be engaged, and a month later married. And 2 years later be married to the most amazing man I could ask for and has blessed me with the most beautiful and perfect daughter I could ask for. I am so grateful to you, Philip Root. For believing in me, standing beside me, being my knight and shining armour. Youre the best person to talk to, laugh with, dance with, argue with, reeeeeally argue with, make up with, and do this game called life. Theres no one else Id want to dissect for hours an infants poos with, dance to the entire Selena Gomez or Taylor swift cd with, watch a weird documentary with, gorge out to way too many donuts and cinnamon buns with, and just in general, do this thing called life with. Im sorry I lost your hat. Kinda. Love you to the moon and back. Forever.
