2 years ago today Sandy came and changed our lives forever. For 3 days we huddled in our homes and shelters without power waiting for the storm to pass and when we emerged it was to devastation all around us. Several of our family members who lived on the back lagoons lost their homes, compared to that Darren and I were lucky we only had a damaged roof and thanks to a huge tree that split and wrapped around the house to smash the truck, instead of me who was trying to get some sleep on the couch. Then another amazing thing occurred an angel showed up in our lives, she barely knew me, just a passing hey, how are you at work, volunteered to take me back and forth to work even when she wasnt scheduled, to the grocery store, doctors, and to the agencies that I needed to go to get help to replace our truck. Now 2 years later the roof is repaired and the truck is replaced, others are still struggling to get back to there homes, I find myself grateful, because if it wasnt for that storm I might have missed out knowing the woman who still gives more to me and does more for me than I could ever repay, my best friend Mary Stetson. I love you and thank you for always being my angel
