(20) CYCLIC PHENOMENA: A SONNET ADDRESSED TO MY BELOVED Partha Sarathi The dawns downy light lingered to fall from sky, To hail the blithe, bright crimson glow of morn, The nocturnal darkness doth fade to die, When the ancient but new sun be born. The birds seem to bid adieu to their nests, Chirping mellifluous music to make air sweet, While the world in the slumbering beds rests; But to rouse them from sleeping spell birds tweet! Thy unheard strains doth spill through the birds voice, When they sing briskly in the leafy home And when with their tune make all day rejoice, Thy unperceived presence pours Joy to roam! Dawn drizzles after night, and night after dawn;- On phenomenal cycles Thy Love doth fawn!
