20 Things to Know Before School Starts #17 Elementary Parents - Mark Your Calendars! ECC, HES, & McEowen will host Parent Information Nights during the first part of the school year. Unlike Meet the Teacher Night, which is an opportunity for students and parents to see the classroom and talk to the teacher, Parent Information Night provides the chance for parents to learn what the students will be learning during the year, learn how to be involved and help your student with homework, and ask questions about the curriculum. The district highly encourages all parents to attend these events. Harrisonville Early Childhood Center will host Parent Information Night on Sept. 10 at 6:30; HES will host on Sept. 5 at 6 & 6:45 p.m.; and McEowen’s event is Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m.
