2013/2014 99/00 ACADEMY PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Jason Manning The accolades continue for the Real So Cal 2013/2014 BU99/00 Academy team as forward Jason Manning was named Player of the Year for his age group. It was a year to remember for Manning who scored twenty-eight goals throughout the course of the season. Jason was a leader of his team both on and off the field. His dynamic speed and ball skills proved to be a tremendous challenge for team defenses across the USSDA Southwest division. Jason is another example of the commitment that Real So Cal makes to it players growth and development. Jason has been in the RSC system since Fall 2010, when he joined the club from AYSO. In only a few short years Jason’s talent and skill set were enhanced to the point where he made the Academy program in the Fall of 2013. After hearing the news that he was named Player of the Year, Jason shared that he “was shocked and overwhelmed and that to be singled out is overwhelming”. Jason attributes his work ethic and desire to improve every day as the key driver in his success on the field. Real So Cal Academy Director Terry Davilla states that, “Jason has a rare ability of scoring game winning goals. Jason is a great teammate who brings confidence to his team and shows tremendous respect to fellow players and coaches. He is a pleasure to coach”. Jason has a great future ahead of him. He looks forward to contributing to the success of the 2014/2015 RSC BU 15/16 USSDA Academy team. Congratulations Jason!
