2014 Rules for the Mini Stock Nationals at the Fall Classic Original frame rails required Firewall and floor pan must be in tact Front wheel drive vehicles May not use posi-traction or limited slip differential No dry sump systems Minimum weight, including driver is before the main event. 1% allowance after the race. Front engine, solid axle, rear wheel drive: 2100 lbs. Front engine, front wheel drive: 2000 lbs. Front engine, rear wheel drive, independent rear suspension: 2400 lbs. Any drive train layout with fuel injection: 2500 lbs. Volkswagen with air-cooled engine: 2000 56% maximum left-side weight. No turbochargers and superchargers allowed Only standard production four-cylinder engine for make allowed (Ford to Ford, VW to VW, Honda to Honda, etc). OEM block only. Modifications allowed. Internal parts – modifications allowed, aftermarket allowed. Maximum 2600cc overall displacement. Cylinder head must be OEM for make of car. No racing heads allowed (i.e. Yates, Ford Motorsports, Cosworth, etc). Porting and polishing allowed only on two- and three-valve per cylinder heads only. No porting or polishing allowed on four-valve heads or fuel injected engines. Four-valve heads to be used on correct cc motor as per factory. Any aftermarket or OEM valve-train component allowed. Any single two-barrel carburetor allowed – 500cfm maximum Choke horn may be removed. Air cleaners are mandatory at all times. Must have at least two return springs. Air-cooled Volkswagen may use any dual-carb setup with up to 40mm bores. Exhaust must extend behind driver and exit outside of car Must be per manufacturer (strut to strut, coil to coil, leaf to leaf, etc). Reinforcing allowed. May be lowered. Coil-Over shocks allowed. Springs optional; must be per manufacturer type (i.e. leaf, coil, torsion bar, etc). Weight jacks, screw jacks and adjustable sleeves allowed. Sway bars optional; one piece bars only. Spindles and/or steering knuckles must be OEM or direct replacement, aftermarket allowed. Control arms – modifications allowed, aftermarket allowed. Stock suspension mounts may be slotted, adjustable and/or heavy duty but must remain in stock location. Shocks and/or struts, heavy duty allowed. Must be similar to OEM. May be adjustable. Shock and/or strut mounts may be extended for travel. May not protrude thru body. Adjustable camber/caster plates allowed. Panhard bar allowed; may be adjustable. Wheelbase must be within 1” +/- of stock At no time will additives, chemicals, softeners, enhancers or strengtheners be applied to any tire Max 8 inch wheels
