2014 SCOTIABANK WALK Highlights HNCPPA SAYS THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO SUPPORTED at the recently concluded Scotiabank Walk Against Breast Cancer on September 13th, 2014. The Holy Name Convent Past Pupils Association , represented with a team of about 10 persons. Armed with team branded T-Shirts, smiles and a sense of purpose, the 5K walk was completed in under 50 and 60 minutes by team members. CONGRATS!! HNCPPA TEAM 2014 This year was arguably one of the largest overall patron turnouts to date by members of the public and various corporations. The event hosted the young and old, male (cheers to our brothers in arms) and female, friends and family. All feeling touched to show an open sense of appreciation for a cause that has affected most of us in some way. The HNC PPA Team assembled at the school , to gear up and set out together. A welcome mix of 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s graduates comprised our “TEN Woman” team. We all got the opportunity to look around the school grounds and reminisce a little before starting out. So much so, that a comment was made by one of our “earlier” decade sisters (who finished in one of the fastest times mind you J ) with a warm smile on her face, “ Wow , not much has changed or been done to the look of the school, after all this time.” Reinforcing the underlying bond, we as the “generations” of HNC Past Pupils have, whether Baby Boomer, Generation X&Y or Millennial, HNC remains the same in spirit, a timeless testament to the educators and students that have walked its halls. We are looking forward to fostering this experience and the continuation of this ideology for the present and past pupils of Holy Name Convent. So, instead of reminiscing amongst ourselves and in closed circles, we encourage you to take an active part in our upcoming activities for this year, by renewing your membership and reaching out to your friends and inviting them as well (both local & abroad). · HNCPPA – Dedicated to Academic, Spiritual and Social Success!! Membership fees $100 per annum are now due. Holy Name Convent Daughters we are (Past & Present) Sisters forever!!
