2014 has been a year of enormous change for myself and the kids. Weve hit quite a few bumps in the road, but the three of us have managed to stay on track and keep it on the road to a better future for the most part. Some of our family triumphs for the year include; Jamies amazing academic achievements in reading, math, spelling, and language. Her overcoming the change of starting the first grade at a new school and making some great friends. She played basketball this fall, and discovered she has a passion for tumbling and cheer. She has become more responsible and is helping to raise the newest addition to our family, her birthday beagle Gunner. And she is of course becoming more beautiful and intelligent as each day passes. Lane started preschool this year, but through occupational health reasons had to stop and has been doing wonderful in therapy to overcome his tremors. He learned to ride a bicycle like a big boy, and has discovered he wants to be a football player. Hes doing wonderful with his handwriting and has become quite a gentleman in helping out his momma and noni with carrying things in from the car and helping with household chores. I obtained my CNA certification and finished training in June, and now have a great job with a wonderful team and company as a CNA. Ive become a much happier person with little stress and drama to consume my time and emotions. Im a much more active and playful parent to my children, and a happier momma to these amazing kiddos. Theres nothing I wouldnt do for my two babies♥ I just want to take a second to thank my amazing family and friends for being such an amazing support system to us this past year. My parents have been our biggest fans, cheering us on, babysitting, helping keep a roof over our heads and our car operating safely. These two people have been the glue holding us together the past 8months. We wouldnt be where we are without them. We love you so much Lisa Payne and Allen Payne! We appreciate everything that you all do! My brother Corey and his family have been a huge part of the joy and love weve shared throughout the year. Hes been one of the most important ppl in my corner to help push me to where I am at this point. I love my baby brother to the moon and back for all the support, the love, and being someone I can lean on when the weight of the world has gotten to be nearly too much to carry on my own shoulders. I love the relationship Shandi and I have developed this past year. She has become my friend and my sister. I can vent to her when things are going south, and she cheers me on and helps lift my spirit when I need it the most. I love each and every one of you and appreciate all that you have put into making 2014 a year of changing for the better for the kids and myself. Happy new year and lets keep it going in 2015! I proudly carry you all with me to the new year and for eternity! ♥
