2015-008: This is MY day! After the dark and grim first two installments of the [REC] series the third flick shifts focus both in tone and location. Moving from the apartment building to a nearby wedding, director Paco Plaza lightens the mood and turns in a gory horror movie with a lighter touch in what is my favorite installment of the Spanish horror franchise. The found footage/POV trope is largely ditched at this point, but Im not complaining as we have tributes to DEMONS, guests being cleaved in half, immersion blender fu, Sponge John (there was a copyright problem) and the infected but charming Uncle Pepe.
