2015: Aspirant Receives APC Leaders’ Blessing BENIN CITY- Edo State House of Assembly Aspirant in Oredo Local Government Area, under the platform of the All progressives Congress (APC) Mr. Osaigbovo Iyoha has received the blessing of leaders of the party in the area. It was at the occasion of his visit to the party secretariat where he formally informed the leaders of his decision to contest for the Assembly seat for Oredo East Constituency seat. Addressing the party faithful, Iyoha said his decision to make himself available for service is predicated on the need to effect a positive change in line with the transformation agenda of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State. Chairman of APC in Oredo Local Government Area, Mr. Godwin Okoro in his remark assured the aspirant that the party will create a level play ground for all aspirants in the forth-coming general elections and applauded the large number of supporters that accompanied him to the event. Chairman of APC in Ward 2, of the local government area, Mr. Osagie Edosomwan in his remarks expressed confidence in Iyoha’s ability to effectively represent the area in the state House of Assembly. Edosomwan described Iyoha as a grassroot mobiliser who has contributed immensely to the victory APC recorded in all the wards in the local government area. Iyoha noted that the main opposition (PDP) is no threat to APC in any election in the state going by the developmental strides of the state government. He assured the party that if given the ticket, he would defeat who ever PDP presents in the election and therefore appealed for a free and fair party primaries. Some APC stalwarts who accompanied Iyoha to the party secretariat, including Mr. Tony Adun kabaka urged the party leaders to ensure that those who would dump the party for another after winning elections are not voted for. Mr. Kabaka described Iyoha as a political asset to the party and a gentleman who had done a lot to empower lots of youths in the area through empowerment schemes.
