2015 Enugu guber: I’m under pressure to contest – PMT BOSS on August 28, 2013 Nsukka—Evangelist Samuel Onyishi, Chief Executive Officer of the Peace Mass Transit Limited, PMT, has said he might consider the pressure being mounted on him by his people to run for the state governorship election in 2015. In an interview with journalists, Onyishi shortly after he was conferred with chieftaincy title of “Ochiri-Ozua Ndi Igbo” by the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Enugu State chapter at his residence in Enugu, said pressure was being mounted on him by his people to run for the 2015 gubernatorial race in the state Aside the pressure from his people, the transport mogul said he was eminently qualified to contest for the 2015 governorship election as he was from the area where his party, the PDP, had zoned the governorship for the state come 2015. He said: “I am from Enugu North senatorial zone where the governorship has been zoned to, and by this arraignment by PDP, I am qualified to contest the 2015 governorship election. “God has raised me for my people but I cannot say I have made up my mind yet. Even with all the pressure, I am still seeking the face of God.” The transport magnate applauded the quality programmes of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Enugu State chapter, and promised to always support them. He also urged Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo national to emulate Enugu State chapter “I urge Ohaneze national to copy from what the Enugu State chapter is doing in the area of upholding the tenets of Igbo traditional institution,” he said. On the conferment of the chieftaincy title on him, Onyishi said he was humbled by it, adding that the programmes credited to him as achievements were what God called him to do and promised to do more to uplift humanity In a remark, the Chairman of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Enugu State chapter, Chief Eric Ebeh, extolled the contributions of Evangelist Sam Maduka Onyishi to the growth and promotion of Igbo language.
