2015: Lamido presidential campaign kicks off next week —Campaign team GOVERNOR Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, a presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 general election, will commence campaign and consultation next week. This was disclosed by a leader of the Sule Lamido Presidential Movement and PDP vice chairman of Jigawa Central, Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Jahun, while speaking to newsmen in Dutse, shortly after his return from a foreign trip. He said Lamido was the most reliable and competent PDP presidential aspirant, who could bail the country out of the mess we were in under President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration. Alhaji Jahun explained that the movement’s struggle was purely in the interest of the nation, as the country was in dire need of people like Governor Lamido, who was very courageous and patriotic, with vast experience of political history to come an takeover the nation, in order to salvage it from collapse. He stated further that now was the time to commence contact and consultation of all stakeholders in the party, within and outside the country, to actualise the emergence of Lamido as PDP presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming general election. According to him, all was set to commence the struggle, as every Nigerian was aware of how the country was deteriorating in a daily basis as a result of bad governance and it was agreed that only strong a person like Lamido could rescue it from this difficult situation. He stated further that “billions of naira is missing from the country coffers without any effort to trace such, just as hundreds of innocent people were killed and abducted without any move to save them; economic and political instability are also militating against the nation, with no sincere commitment to tackle them.We cannot continue to fold our arms and watch our country crumble. “I am optimistic that the simple answer to the problems of this country is to give capable hand like Alhaji Lamido a chance in 2015.”
