2016 is gonna be an incredible year for our beloved comic book Characters. We are getting eight comic book movies that year, three of them being released by Fox. All in the X-men universe. We are getting Deadpool in February, I believe we are getting X-men: Apocolypse in May or June, Finally we are getting Gambit In October. All I can say is Im pretty pumped to see what is going to happen in this world after what happened in the end of Day Of Future Past. Resetting the timeline and erasing anything thats happened in the past. This was a very clever way of rebooting this franchise allowing The younger actors to fill the shoes of their older predecessors. I really love the new cast and I cant wait to see where we are heading. We had a good indication of what is to come, or should I say who is to come. During the End credit scene in DOFP. Who is that blue Egyptian? That is Apocalypse. The most powerful mutant of all time. He is pretty much God in the X-men universe and its gonna be pretty crazy to see how they portray him. From what I have read we are lucky enough to have the same team as DOFP. X-men: apocalypse is going to be set in the 80s. We are getting a new version of Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Gray. Im excited to hear that even Peters is coming back as Quicksilver ( one of my favorite characters in DOFP. My question would be how these other movies are going to play into this universe? Are Deadpool and Gambit going to be set in the 80s. Maybe they will be set in the early 90s to correlate with the 90s cartoon.Are they gonna be origin storys or are they gonna be established characters in the universe. Are we gonna see Gambit or Deadpool in Apocalypse? Its funny they have already been versions of both deadlock and Gambit on the big screen in that awful wolverines: origin story. One was a complete abomination and the other Taylor kitches portrayal of games it which I thought was the best part of thatmovie. As far as the Deadpool stand alone film as long as it has the tone of that restrictive i am all in. As far as Gambit goes I have faith in Tatum that he is gonna give us a good Gambit. That Cajun accent is half the battle dude,you pull it off and ill buy it. With Fox doing all the right things, setting a new annual grossing record, hiring talented directors, actors and writers I ha e all the faith in the world in this franchise. We will see what 2016 brings us in our X-men universe all I can say is will be there on opening night
