21 July 2013 SACP Eastern Cape saddened by the passing of Cde Nkosiphendule Kolisile The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the Eastern Cape has learnt with great shock and sadness the untimely passing of Comrade Nkosiphendule Kolisile, MEC of Economic Development and Former Provincial Chairperson of the SACP in Gauteng Province. As the SACP in the Eastern Cape we regarded him not only as the member and a leader of the SACP, ANC and COSATU but one of us as he hails from our province, the Eastern Cape as many of the people from this part of the country were and are forced to become migrant workers in many areas of our country because of the apartheid system that made our province a labour reserve for cheap labour. In honour of Cde Nkosiphendule and other comrades, it is on this basis that we welcome any deliberate measures by the ANC led government to ensure economic inclusion of the province into the mainstream of the economy. We wish to convey our heartfelt message of condolences to the family and friends of Comrade Nkosiphendule and the congress movement at large. We wish to say to them your pain is our pain. Cde Nkosiphendule passed on whilst serving as the MEC of Economic Development in the Gauteng Legislator; it is on this basis that we calling upon the Gauteng Provincial Government to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the accident. We recommit ourselves to continue with the struggle for socialist South Africa and the world in honour of our fallen comrades with and for the workers and the poor!
