22 November 2014 is the third and the last day of our training workshop series in 2014. We were happy to have our three guest speakers, our dedicated contestants to join this fruitful and joyous afternoon. Mr. Richard Spicer, Senior Director of Product Planning of WowWee Group Ltd, presented the topic “Developing Toys for a Connected World”. He shared applications, strategies and market trend of different types of smart apps toys. Prof. Ming Liu, Visiting Assistant Professor of Dept of Electronic and Computer Engineering of HKUST, presented the topic of “How Software Can Control Hardware”. He shared his insights in different types of softwares. Prof. Pedro Sander, Associate Professor of Dept of Computer Science, HKUST.presented the topic of “Hardware Apps”. He used different types of examples to illustrate the mechanisms of apps. He even brought a smart app toy that his son loves to play to the lecture! Our workshop series in 2014 were all successfully held. We thank all of you to participate in the workshops. Our next workshop will be held in January.
