22 days until my blackbelt, this may seem like not a big deal, but for me its huge. I have overcome so many things in this journey, my visual impairment, my physical impairments, and alot of mental blocks that were self induced, but real. I really didnt see this promotion 2 yrs ago, but definitely didnt want to be on the sidelines watching classmates accomplish this wondering why I didnt. So here we are with a day over 3 wks until we start a new journey, basically start our training over, but instead of being a negative belt we will be in the positive( if you train you understand). I hope I can keep my mental status together.,as we embark on this. No matter what, there is no turning back, and regardless of what will happen after, I dont regret one moment, not the tears the frustration, the insecurities, the falling.. the indecision, the bruises and injuries.. it molded me into a better me..Im a better person for all of it, it has revealed my character, and answered alot of questions. Ive made life long friends, Ive formed bonds, and not only have I done this all with an amazing group of people, but with my son. That will definitely be a story for the grandchildren. Im very thankful.. and scared..lol. but more thankful! :-)
