23 years ago today, Doug Woods walked into my office and said Lets get married TODAY! We had been engaged for over a year and had talked about marriage but certainly not a day! He went into Malinda Smiths office and asked if I could have the afternoon off to get married! Of course she said yes. I called James Grace (that also worked with) and he agreed to marry us that afternoon. We married at James church on Millbrooke Dr. They had a beautiful small chapel room inside. Kyle Johnson (gave me away). Our parents barely had time to get there. After we went to Shoneys to eat. When they found out we just got married, they brought us out a hot fudge cake. It may not have been a glamorous wedding but it has been the BEST 23 years of my life. I LOVE YOU! Doug!
