#24 - Stephan Malkmus & The Jicks Wig Out at Jag Bags The former lead singer of Pavement should be included on everyones list based on album title alone! Im not typically susceptible to falling for the former lead singer of this or that fabulous band from oh so long ago records that weve seen so many of in recent years. Former glory is no indication of future promise im afraid. However this guy is bullet proof, the man cant make a bad record. I fell hard for this one when he and the Jicks came to Madison over the winter. Not one moment of nostalgic play the hits, just plowing ahead with his incredible post-pavement catalog.
