24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00AM 02 August 2013 SYNOPSIS: : Weak Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon. Meanwhile, @4:00AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 1,340 km East of southern Mindanao (5.0°N, 138.5°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). FORECAST: MIMAROPA and western Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to south with slight to moderate seas.
