24-Hour Public Weather Forecast Issued at: 5:00 AM 12 March 2014 Synopsis: At 4:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 230 km West Southwest of General Santos City (5.5ºN, 123.0ºE). Northeast monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas. FORECAST: Visayas and Zamboanga peninsula will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The regions of Cordillera and Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the East to Northeast over Visayas and Eastern Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Northeast with slight to moderate seas. Source: DOST PAGASA
