24 oct 2013 More Truths about Consecration: Romans 12:1-2 Share Bible in a year: Jeremiah 44:24-47:7, 2 Timothy 2:22-3:17, Psalm 94:1-23, Proverbs 26:6-8 1. Breaking of consecration carries different consequences: Some could be very costly and almost irreplaceable while some are redeemable by God. Permit me to say that it is God that determines the two. Let me show you example of what I mean. The consecration on the destiny of Mary (in bringing the Messiah to the world) was that she must be a virgin. For the Bible says that a virgin shall conceive (Isaiah 7:14) If Mary and Joseph were in involved in fornication and they later asked for forgiveness, God would have forgiven them, but He would have needed to look for another virgin. Some destinies are light that, you cannot just afford to mess up and break your consecration. The price might be more than you are willing to pay. 2. Breaking of consecration amongst many other things usually leads to: a. Exposure of the person to the enemy, b. The withdrawal of divine commitment, c. The truncation of God’s programme for the persons. 3. There are Levels of Consecration: One is the general consecration that God demands from everyone who is a child of God. (Romans 12:1-2, 1 Peter 2:9). For example, God said “be ye holy for your father in heaven in holy”. Righteousness is a consecration that God has demanded from all his children. However, He may put a demand on some other people that they go farther than that. That is the specific consecrations that God calls individual to base on their assignment and divine destiny under God. For example, when I came out of the university, God demanded that I should not take a secular job. I studied Electrical Engineering (High Voltage Option) in the university. At my graduation, I got job offer with shell Oil Company in abroad but God put a demand upon me to go to Ijesha-land in Osun State, Nigeria to start my ministerial assignment for Him. That is another level of consecration. He may not demand that from another person. You must know what God has demanded from you and follow it. 4. Once broken, can consecration be restored? The answer is YES, it can be restored. But depending on the level of damage that is done already and the kind of destiny that God has for you in life. There are people that the original plan of God for their lives may not be possible again, God will have to look for someone else to do what he had purposed them to do and then he will find something else for them to do in life. For some others, they can still be helped to fulfill the original plan of God. In all before you totally be restored to your consecration if broken, the involvement of your spiritual authority will be needed. He will know the extent of the damage, what can be salvaged and what needed to be done. Never deceive yourself that you will get your consecration restored in isolation, it is not done like that God usually reconstructs under accountability. 5. One major factor that helps a man to keep his consecration in life is accountability. If you will last and keep your consecration to God, ensure commit yourself accountable to God, the word of God, your spiritual authority, the spiritual home where God has placed you, destiny company and your spouse (if you are married) and in case nobody is demanding accountability from you, ensure that you demand it from yourself, hold yourself to the highest standard of God and it shall be well with you in Jesus’ name. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the programme you have for my life. I pray that you will help me to submit to every accountability system that will help me keep my consecration in Jesus’ name. SPIRIT MEAT (REV AREOGUN) LIFE OASIS
