24th August – Ballerina Elephant Hairband When I first thought about what I should make today I thought it should be something sensible, maybe something elegant and sophisticated, something you would expect to see in the halls of a royal palace or posh hotel . . . . then I thought nah, lets make a Ballerina Elephant balancing on a hairband, it reminds me of the classic Disney film Fantasia. This Elephant is made from 8 balloons, I could have made it from less that but I wanted all the feet and hands to have clean (unknotted) ended so needed extra balloons for those (Do elephants have hands?, I’m going to say yes). So, I used a pink 260 for the base, grey 260s for the legs, body, arms ears and face, the tutu is a 160 and so is the trunk. Have you signed up for the fortnightly MDB newsletter yet?
