25 years ago today, the greatest man I have ever known departed this world for a better one. Wilborn Peebles. My father, left this life at age 53. He became sick when he was only 35, but managed to raise 4 boys anyway. He was a fighter all the way to the end. Looking back at the things he endured still amazes me. Our national holiday, July 4 is the day we buried him. He was very much a patriot, would not watch Hogans heroes because he said they were making fun of our armed forces. July 4 is a bitter sweet holiday for my family, and perhaps many more. On this holiday I just want to express my thanks to my fatner for his service to our country and his devotion to his family. MISS YOU SO MUCH DAD!!!!!!!!!!
