25th -26th November As a team, we spent the majority of today at Christian Community School. We arrived early in the morning and continued with our painting of the playground that we began on Monday. And yes, we finally finished it! The playground looks so bright and colourful. Half of us also started painting inside the classrooms while the other half finished off outside on the playground. We managed to paint the hallway, stair case and 4 classrooms inside, and quite possibly a fair bit of paint on ourselves, all before lunch! For lunch today we walked up to one of the local hostels. The lunch provided by hostel #5 was absolutely amazing! Lunch also came with a wonderful view and another chance to associate with some very special kids living in hostel 5 who were all extremely happy to see us. After lunch we headed back to the school to finish off the painting. The final coat inside the school was applied and with all the excess time we had on our hands that afternoon, we decided to paint the front walls of the school as well. After ending up with paint everywhere on ourselves and the ground, we tidied up and finished our day at the school, heading back home to the guest house. Our outing for dinner tonight was rather interesting. After over an hour of waiting, dinner was served for 10/11 of us. Jess on the other hand waited for an extremely long time for her plain burrito with salad to be served, from which we are not able to eat the salad, so her plain burrito wrap was much rather enjoyable for her after the wait. After sitting outside in the cold at the restaurant, half the team headed back to the guest house, while the other half waited on dessert. The desserts were served to us and yet again, Jess was the one waiting a while for hers to show up last, typical Jess for dinner tonight! Today was yet again another amazing experience we all got to share together in Nepal, and we are only a third of the way! Cannot wait for the next two weeks in Nepal and what challenges and experiences we are still yet to face!
