Ive heard so many reasons why UGE shouldnt be Governor come 2015;some say he is not a politician,others say they have paid their dues so they should have been the rigfht choice,yet some specifically narrate how they navigated through the dark forest with ballot boxes to deliver Akpabio;thus he should have annointed them. Hmmmmmm I feel for them;yet lets ponder on a few but tangent reality of who a true politician is; or what is politics? As an Economist;it is the sharing of scares availables for optimium result. That is why we have political economics. Ive heard some say because Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is a Banker (cum Politician) he would want every dime to be accounted for, while in their hither perspective of political corruption,responsibility without accountability should prevail. Akwaibomites should we let politians rob us without proper balancing of the books? If being responsible and prudent to the management of state fund is a crime then Udom Gabriel Emmanuel should vacilate from our foolishness. To curtail further divergence from my core intent lets compare and contrast A banker and A politician. Is A banker not a Politician? If you said A is not B then you truelly need this piece. Shouldnt it be a call for concern to note that this man Udom Gabriel Emmanuel made it through the tough and challenging world of financial management,shouldnt we be proud that our son knows money and money knows him?why wasnt he sacked for financial recklessness? Because he is contented with what he has... It takes a politician to clime the ladder of success in the banking industry,thus faithfulness in little(money at the bank) should necessarilly mean faithfulness in much(state fund). Certainly they had been bankers before him at Zenith bank but he climed above his peers. This man is a strategist and we need a strategist to position Akwa Ibom for the next phase of digital transformation. Lets keep political flatteries aside; A banker has life changing contacts,proposals and international business Ideas; Udom Gabriel Emmanuel has seen many Ideas that could make Akwa Ibom the envy of the world. For those who think it should have been them,never forget that favour is never fair,wait for your time for time and chance happens to us all. Beloved Akwa Ibomites,if by default or personal effort you become a delegate to determine who to lead us dont loose sight of the reality that faces us;dont vote for any who thinks he can help loot us but him who knows how to help us.
