RA, is a form of inflammatory arthritis and an autoimmune disease. The immune system is designed to protect our health by attacking foreign cells. Instead, in an RA patient our immune system attacks the bodys own tissues causing joint destruction, organ damage and disability. RA is a chronic disease and theres no cure. 8 years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. ( Autoimmune disorders typically come with a partner.) Some days are harder than others. But I try to keep a positive attitude through this journey. My family and I are participating in the Walk to Cure Arthritis on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Philadelphia as TEAM SPARKLE! I have decided to do a fundraiser through my company, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski and will be giving away $125 worth of FREE jewelry to 2 people each day for 5 days. My goal is to donate $500 to Walk to Cure Arthritis Foundation. This will be a standard box pool numbered 1-100. Each $10.00 donation buys one box.
