2years ago, myself and 2 other Ghanaians were returning from Ghana to Scotland-UK. We were detained at Edinburgh Airport upon suspicion that we were carrying illegal goods in our Ghana Must Go green bags. Upon thorough inspection one of the bags owned by a female colleague had MEAT (Akonfem) well preserved in it, the sight of the MEAT angered the immigration officials who subjected all 3 of us to further interrogation. Upon plead of ignorance of the laws of UK and our status as Graduate students mitigated an intended punishment to a caution / banned statement of the affected colleague. Till date her immigration profile has her punishment and offence recorded and reflected. The MEAT was for domestic consumption not for TRADE. *EPA ???........................
